It was the first time that the ships of STANAVFORLANT (Standing Naval Force Atlantic) enter Mediterranean! It was the first time that a Greek ship participated at this force! HS NEARCHOS! Under the COMMANDER STANAVFORLAND Manuel Otero Rear Admiral Spanish Navy. The participation of HS NEARCHOS and the comments after,was excellent!

Leading, the formation is the Turkish frigate TCG Orucreis (F245), followed (on the right wing) by the Dutch frigate HNMS Jan Van Brakel (F825), the British frigate HMS Montrose (F236) and the Greek destroyer HS Nearchos (D219). In the left wing, the German frigate FGS Karlsruhe (F212), the Italian Frigate ITS Espero (F576) and the Spanish frigate SPS Cataluna (F73).
